What’s the Difference Between Network and Online Games?

There are more games online than there is time to play them all. They range from classics like chess, to popular card games, to new games created for online, and to multiplayer games such as Doom, Quake and EverQuest. Online games can be word games, sports games, puzzles, strategy, action, or adventure. However, all online games fit into four basic types: Stand Alone Internet Games, Internet Enabled Games, Network Games, and Online Multiplayer Games.
