Modems
can break. To check that your modem is working, in Windows,
click on START,
select SETTINGS and click on CONTROL PANEL. Double-click
on MODEMS, then click on DIAGNOSTICS. Select your modem from
the list, and click on MORE INFO. Windows will ask that your
modem report its settings and status.
